McClaren - No quality in our goals...

This isn't plucky 'ol Brighton in the FA Cup knocking out some giant it's a f*cking league match. I'll say it again, get over yourselves.

I'm not annoyed with McClaren. I think it's fairly pathetic. If I was his Chairman, I'd want him to show a bit more class and be magnanimous in defeat.

Not being funny but people getting twisted knickers over this is really sad, we looked like a plucky lower league team for 65 minutes yesterday and the first goal was a poor goal to concede if you're looking from Derby/McLarens perspective. The second was a lovely goal but fans/managers having blinkered views of what happens in games is hardly surprising is it, I can't tell you how many times I've seen similar things happen to us and after the game your whole view of the opposition is tarnished regardless of whether the goal they scored was good or not

When you've battered a team for 65 minutes and lost most people would feel bitter, especially when having a microphone shoved in your face 15 minutes after.

That's all well and good but these managers know that the microphone is coming 15 minutes after the match. Part of the job is to prepare and compose themselves for it. They are representing their club and their fans and they should do it with dignity and respect

Not the real one
If I were a Derby fan, I wouldnt be happy with that interview. Imagine CH saying Greer and Dunk had switched off because we were dominating and he laughed at the goals we conceded. Poor stuff from that idiot Schteeve McClaren.

First was just a scramble second was class. They were not the first shots and we had other chances. It shows a lack of class in their manager and nothing else

Just a bit of a knob really, not a man I would particularly hold any respect for, hasnt achieved much as a manager. Shame he came across as so arrogant

I've always thought he was a total Henry Kelly. There was that guy who played for him at Boro (Marcionne or something?) who said only in England would someone as talentless as McClaren be made Manager of the national team.

Its not about quality, is not about territory its not about possession its about goals. While we may have been under pressure for ten minutes in the second half they couldn't score and never really threatened us. We also had a number of good opportunities and didn't score. I felt at half time it cold go either way and eventually it went to us.

I actually quite like McClaren, despite the disaster with the England team.

That said, seems to be bit of sore loser syndrome going on here...ah well, we got three points so ultimately who really cares?

Why does he keep stroking his face?

When a person is stressed their muscles become tense and they may sweat and itch. They may thus rub the areas affected. Lying is often a stressful activity and thus rubbing can be an indicator.

I can't believe some of you lot, why not take the time to enjoy your win?!?! What do you want, a pat on the back from Schteve as well!!

Of course we enjoyed the win, and you wouldn't expect him to be glowing in praise, particularly as IMO the better team lost, but to be so disparaging about the 'quality' of the goals is more than a bit churlish.

Think he's done a good job at Derby, but that aside now think he's a bit of a tw@t as well.

Yeap we all enjoyed the win alright. Feel sorry for McClaren he couldn't show credit where it was due. One thing is for sure, you wouldn't see that from Chris Houghton, Oscar or even Gus!!

Stcheeve needs to calm down and go for a smoke and a pancake.

Nothing wrong with the goals, the first would have been better if calde had held it up for Stephans. However the second was a great goal. Do one you ginger haired Mongerloid.

Twaddle, you're just being needy. It's very mirror mirror on the wall! - I think you'll find most managers a little bitter when they feel 'wronged'.....

BTW Took me 30 seconds to find this

Brighton head coach Oscar Garcia:

"It was a totally unfair result. We were better than them in all areas. I am
really proud of our performance.

"If the ref had given us an early penalty it would have been a better start.
And in the second half we should have had a penalty but we need to improve in
front of goal.

There's really no point arguing with this lot. Just shake your head and move on.

But you do need some context - which game did Oscar say that after?

Having a dig and the ref and having a pop at the other side for a lack of quality of their goals are hardly comparable.
