Sky Sports last night demonstrated that MM had Ipswich placed mid table after 14 games, in all his seasons there. Despite the owner selling their best player or two every summer, and the club having a bottom 7 payroll cost. Ungrateful fanbase.

Clearly Newcastle lead the field when it comes to entitled fans but Ipswich fans must be near the top too.

Yes and like him or not MM always sets his teams up well and difficult to break down.

Paul Lambert is ex- Norwich so that appointment (if it happens) will be interesting.

And at a time when foreign players were almost unknown in English football - it provided a bit of an exotic touch to the team,

Don't forget that Ipswich did win the First Division nearly 60 years ago

Yes with Ardiles and Villa everyone was wowed!

Didn’t Sheff Utd have Sabella?

A DULLARD has looked at the numbers. Ipswich have punched above their weight for many years. Marcus Evans took a gamble getting rid of MM, and that gamble might take the club to League One.

Paul Lambert to be named tomorrow as new manager. As a mark of respect to Kevin Beattie who's funeral is today ,no appointment will be announced until tomorrow.

Interesting looking at ours just before we went up v previous seasons.

I believe those figures include promotion bonuses, which as we know everybody got a piece of that action.
