Just a thought, he is a good mate of CH how about him joining us in some capacity perhaps as No 2 and making Paul Trollope head coach.or do we already have one I am not sure of the titles of our staff. back room

Good idea, I mean he's no Martin Keown but maybe he can teach our defenders how to defend set pieces...

Paul Nevin is first team coach. And has been for nearly 2 years. Paul Trollope is #2 or assistant manager.

Always comes across as a decent bloke and Ipswich kept him despite many a mid table season so must have had something.

He will do ok at West Brom if they allow him to build a team, nothing will improve overnight, that only happens when you are a top six team with sqwillions.

It didn’t. But I took it that they were jealous of the amazing Amex, and being thick as shite, thought we a JCL MK Dons artificial type of club. Whereas they deemed themselves as football royalty due to their golden years under Ramsey and Robson.

Yes, it was a dig at us accepting the Amex dollar. Except they couldn't tell the difference between American Express and Mastercard.

My best mate and his family are all Town fans, they didn't understand what the banner was all about and were very embarrassed by it. Has there ever been an explanation of why it was done and who was behind it?

Their feeling about MM is he has done well in his time there but it probably is the right time for them to part ways now. For the fans who have abused him, I hope they do get the manager they deserve in Pardew or McClaren!

From WSU at the time, I could see it was held by younger fans.

Probability ignorant of Albion’s history and the affection towards the club after the alleged theft of the Goldstone.

That's exactly Mick - Mick is just Mick. He is hard to like but equally hard to dislike.

If he’s not a PL manager then nor is Hughton. he’s managed there successfully (and then less successfully) for multiple seasons. More than CH.
He also kept Wolves up for 2 seasons in a row. Quite a feat these days.

I personally think his specialism is taking teams up not keeping them there.

“I told the Millwall chairman that if he ever wants to sack me, all he has to do is take me into town, buy me a meal, a few pints and a cigar and I’ll piss off.”

Sunderland - correct
Wolves - not correct - took them
Up and kept em there
Ipswich - not correct - didn’t take em up.

So 1 out of 3.

Very wrong - he was sacked at Wolves as they were going down, as they eventually did rock bottom so 2 out of 3. He was also at Ipswich and got them in to the play offs I think after taking them out of the relegation zone the season before.
