Firstly any money in the pot should go to the Nicolas contract but does anybody actually know the history of this player, is he tall short quick slow, as somebody said Rougier done well and we where sad to see him go.
Mark McCammon (Forward)
Born: 07.08.78
Nationality: English
Bruising target man whose presence in the FA Cup final may even shock McCammon himself, scorer of a mere 17 goals in seven years of professional football.
After spells with Cambridge, Charlton and Brentford, he was surprisingly signed by Mark McGhee last season on a free transfer and, though he has scored just two Millwall goals, is the likely deputy for the banned Daniele Dichio.
McCammon, who last played at the Millennium Stadium in Brentford's defeat in the 2001 LDV Vans Trophy final, is not technically the best, but can cause problems with his physique.
i have to say he's never impressed me and couldn't belive it when i saw him come on in the fa cup final.took my plymouth supporting younger brothers to brentford a couple of seasons ago when we had no game and mccammon was up front for brentford and to be honest looked like a bit of a clueless donkey but if mm thinks he's wat we need thenlets give him a chance but that seems unlikely to happen while wisey's talking about a fee
McGhee knows we need a big target man... the above description of McCammon seems to be aligned with the kind of player that McGhee is after (although some of the comments are disparaging)... anyway, if McGhee wants him, then I respect his judgement...
Agree that Nicolas is the top priority tho', and the Argus comment at the bottom of the McVirgo article that a more appealing offer has been finalised sounds a bit more promising...
Strange that big target men are not popular with Albion fans. You can trace this back to Peter Harburn in the 50s even.
IMHO it was a pity that we didn't sign Iwelumo.
Unsure about McCammon. Sounds more Scottish than Iwelumo!
