Right in front of us in the South Stand was very, very surprised they both didn't go on the basis of what other players have been sent off for this season.

Yes, but the other sendings off have been stoopid. Competent reffing today, I'm not going to go overboard praising a ref who decides not to ruin a game with red cards.

It's a funny game when a player goes for two late tackles, but two others stay on for fighting. Frightening lack of constitency isn't there ? McCammon would have gone against Sunderland.

I was refering more to sendings off I'm seen on television rather than at the Withdean. I glad they didn't, but I think both should have gone today in all honesty. Went beyond pushing and shoving and was on the brink of a full on fight.

I was expecting two red cards to come out when the ref booked them.
It started off with holding on and kicking out on the ground but when they stood up 'punches' were being exchanged.

I thought that ref missed a lot yesterday. The yellows for that incident was just the easy way out for him. I thought their player who was sent off should have got a straight red, instead of a second yellow. That sort of tackle can end a players season.

I saw nothing resembling a punch, I just thought it was a bit of a girly wrestle that the ref spotted and rightly produced two yellows.

If he had sent either of them off for that, then any ocnfrontation at all would be a red card offence.

I thought thet were both going to get sent off, and was quite surprised when the ref showed the yellow card twice.

It's interesting that McCammon even got into a fight against a side who were his team mates barely a month ago. I presume he wasn't popular amongst his team mates at Millwall - which isn't a bad thing when you consider his former teammates included twats like Dennis Wise and Jodie Morris. :tosser:

That's why I typed 'punches' They were taps more than anything which is 'handbags' is a good description.

He doesn't have much love for Millwall fans either. He gave them the finger as the teams were returning to the dressing rooms. The Millwall fans were too busy shouting abuse at their own team to really notice. One of them later claimed they "should have coined the c*nt".

Nice.

I thought McCammon was quite restrained seeing as the Millwall player had been stamping on him as he tried to get up.

There were also a few monkey noises from our saarf landon visotors when McCammon was shown the yellow card. Even nicer.

It didn't really look like McCammon was doing anything much more than trying to get up & get Elliott off him. Certainly no punches thrown, would have been stupid to ruin the match by flashing around red cards for something so inconsequential. Sensible reffing for once; if only Gallagher had shown similar restraint.

I was watching this from H block and have to say I thought McCammon instigated the whole fraca. The Millwall lad frankly looked initially unintersted but McCammon kept on and on and on until the Millwall player eventually hit him with his handbag back which I assume is the point at which the referee finally noticed what the rest of us were watching for what seemed like an eternity (ish)
