I see Ajmal Shazad's been let go by Yorkshire.

We do seem to turn around faltering players and if we could sort him out mentally he'd be exactly the sort of player we need: fast, decent on all surfaces can bit pretty well

I agree with this. Good fit for us - we sorted out Monty, we can sort this lad.

Rubbish? This team is an entire level down from our usual team, the two sides are almost par so it was expected we would struggle. We have a bowler opening the batting for crying out loud! And quite a few inexperienced teenagers.

This is a second eleven of a First Class County not Preston Nomads. Are you sure?

9 of this team have plated for the first XI (Some more than others) in various forms of the game. We're playing against a bunch of students!

league is more important then a 3 day match against a bunch of students

Certainly more important than this result BUT the 1st XI has not exactly been firing on all four cylinders during the three LVCC matches played to date. The batting has generally been fragile, as it was this time last season, and if I were Goodwin, Nash, Joyce etc I'd be looking for more time at the crease, whatever the opposition.
