Messi was banging in regular goals in the Champions League for Barcelona at this point in time. Rather don't think he had anything to prove.

Mac was playing in the Copa Libertadores, and for Argentina. and getting good reviews. Rather don't think he had anything to prove.

Why on earth does GP think he’s not match fit, needs time to adjust etc. FFS, when will Brighton managers buy players to actually put straight into the team? You know, that old tried and tested method used by EVERY F UCKING OTHER CLUB in the top four divisions? Good enough for Boca? Well, clearly you need to learn the Brighton Way first - here, take 18months off first to adjust, preferably in a foreign league. Won the Balon D’or? Here you go, play tomorrow night in the Sussex Senior Cup first and let’s see how you get on. Most exciting prospect in Chelsea under 21s? I’ll see if we can squeeze you into the annual REMF match as a ringer...

Strewth, this buy and loan out 43 players strategy is a huge success isn’t it? Meanwhile every other club buys 11 quality ones and sticks them in what’s called the 1st team. And plays them every week. Still, what do they know? We’re building for the future*

*includes Championship and lower division football.

When asked by radio Sussex Potter just said it was because he wasn’t selected. Utterly ridiculous from a total clown of a manager.

I was ranting at my car radio after hearing Potter on five live. His answers made him sound like he’s completely lost the plot. In denial. Utterly embarrassed to think he’s our manager. I’m fully expecting him to take the team on a goat yoga retreat followed by ballet lessons whilst he gets them used to a new insect-based diet as solutions to our woeful attacking inability.

Potter’s not the innovative gambler we were led to believe.

Player of the season imho Alzate never starts, Lamptey and Lamptey no where near starting, inadequate Montoya starts.

Why the hell bring hell bring back MacAllister early from Boca? What was the point exactly?

Alzate player of the season? Attacking player with 0 goals and how many assists? 0? 1?

Tariq good enough to face Arsenal with Chelsea, but not good enough for our bench apparently.

Which just goes to show what an idiot our manager is.

Potter’s not the innovative gambler we were led to believe.

I remember thinking this when it was revealed that his unusual and much touted training methods at ostersunds were actually done under the behest of the chairman.

Maybe we should have recruited the chairman to be our manager :)

Alzate player of the season? Attacking player with 0 goals and how many assists? 0? 1?

When was the last time GP played Alzate in his correct position? I honestly can’t remember! On the odd occasion he starts him he plays him at right back!

If GP actually played one of his best midfielders in his correct position we may not be in the position we are now in!

Potter is a complete waste of space. He hasn't got a clue.

Clever psychology by the club.

It made Mooy, Trossard, Propper and Gross take their game to another level.

It sure did. But not the level we had expected, sadly.
