I would play Rents at left back and Richards at left midfield and tell them to alternate one forward supporting the strikers and one back at all times.

I'd rather give rents a go on the left side of midfield.

Move Coxy onto the right so he can take players on with his stronger foot.

And play Martot in the centre of the park alongside Thomson.

Problem sorted...er...sort of:glare:

Seconded. He's had that shite all his career, and still never stopped giving 400% effort for the club. Which is why some of us (most of us?) think he's great.

Thirded.

I've found one at last :clap2: I'd be delighted if you could explain what he contributes to the team. Feel free to use the Northampton game as an example. Cheers.

I like Martot and I pointed out a couple of weeks ago that he had more assists than Hammond or Cox. He may not look spectacular but he gets on with the job in a quiet way and contributes more than people think.

The Ginger Prince should give the side some of the mature experience that is needed. When he came on as a sub at Oldham he still made mistakes but managed some crucial tackles. At least we'll know that he will be giving 100% out there on the pitch.

Thanks. What kind of assists does he provide - deep crosses, cross from the byline, through balls? I don't get to many games but the three times I've seen him (Orient, Yeovil, Northampton, all away) he has possibly been the most anonymous player I have ever seen for the Albion.

Through balls. Maybe it is because he looks anonymous that opposition players don't mark him so tightly?

Ever? I suggest you keep a third eye on Cox when he has a bad game.

The football league site suggests that Cox has six assists (5 in the cup) and Martot has two assists. Either way, I am pleased we secured Martot for the rest of the season as he gives us a different option.

Ah! Gotcha. Although I don't think that tells the whole story of George as he did not have a license to get forward. I wish he hadn't been an arse and had stuck around. The midfield is a poorer place without him :(
