GNLF - how many times did that team start last season? Not many I would suggest.

And Virgo will be in the starting line up.

And yes, defensively we are much stronger on the bench... we have El Abd, Hawkins, Lynch, Mayo... and not forgetting Adam Hinshelwood who will HOPEFULLY be fit in October.

Midfield we have El Abd, Robinson, and Loft... which seems OK.

I'm not so sure about our attacking options... presumably we will rely on Virgo and, hopefully Sam Gargan, and Gatting/Dixon at a push.

How does it compare NOW...?

Dunno. How doesit compare? I last saw us play in december 2006. Hence I said it was a genuine question. I have no real idea how good or bad we were last year, or how we're shaping up this year.

Fair enough. The current team compares favourably with an average team that we put out last year. Compared with the BEST team we put out last year its similar.

I think we're much better off this year. Livermore and McLeod are looking like they're of a quality we've not had playing in the midfield in the past *insert massive number of years here* We also have a stronger squad.

If we can keep Murray and Forster fit for a whole season, I seriously think we have a decent chance of automatic promotion.

Because YOU upped the ante.

Yes, NSC is the place for humour and wind-ups but ultimately this is an Albion board first and foremost and winding us all up on something as important as supposed high profile signings goes against the grain somewhat.

And besides, on this thread Papa Lazarou posted a general question wondering whether any new signings were in the offing and you took it on yourself (as the seemingly self appointed fountain of knowledge of all things going on with the club) to answer assuming the question was aimed at you
