I truly respect genuine protesters rights to do their thing. If I felt that strongly about an issue to the point I felt it necessary to actively protest I would expect to enjoy that right and privilege to do so. Unfortunately this particular protest has been regularly hijacked and taken over by people without the remotest idea what the issues are or what the protest is about and are simply there for a tear-up and battle with the old-bill. The law abiding citizens of Brighton also have rights to be allowed to go about their every day business, work and leisure without the fear of being caught up in a confrontation or violence purely of the making of a group of loosely associated anarchists, anti-establishmentists and simple dickheads out for a rumble. The main problem is they deliberately mix into and infiltrate the legitimate protesters which then causes all the problems. I fully expect Sussex police to prioritise the protection of and serve and respect the people of Brighton and Hove in the first instance before worrying about these so called protesters.

I am sorry but if they want to destroy the food shop that serves sh1t mixed with fat allowing a bunch of its customers to litter the streets with abandon and they then move on to the banks who are having it away with all of us.. Where do I join, otherwise I take your point entirely..

Noone forces the kids to eat in there. ??? It's their fault, not that of McDonalds.

Besides, I like McDonalds.

There is no way in the world that this is intended as a legitimate peaceful protest. The organisers refuse to work with the police and how the hell are McDonalds and Amex 'militarist' targets for protest?

This is a thinly disguised trip to the seaside for a bunch of morons and thugs who just want a scrap with the police and to try and create photo opportunities for their mates in the press to show everyone that we (supposedly) live in a police state. I'm glad I won't be in town that day.

It's not as if the company in question make bombs or anything, some of these protesters should get a life, or a job.

A convoy of half a dozen Hampshire Constabulary meatwagons with riot shields fitted just drove down Dyke Road on their way into town.

I wish those lads luck today. Faced with crowds of filthy scumbags taunting them who wouldn't want to give em a wallop? But with crowds of tossers with video cameras ready to flog a bit of footage to the papers they can't fcuking win.
