I think you are misunderstanding. You are assuming that players can’t take criticism. You are wrong.

You have no idea what I assume. I was responding to what you wrote, which was tosh. You referred to Vardy as a weak minded snowflake when he was struggling at Leicester.

Would be foolish of the club not to have him watched at the very least as on our doorstep.

Absolutely. We would look like real idiots of he turns out to be any good.

On top of this, resale value above what we might pay is very likely here so this signing makes a lot of sense.

quite a while ago though, might as well include Malcom Macdonald (Tonbridge Angels to Fulham) if your using these examples :)

Here are a few more recent examples, including 3 familiar faces.

I dunno as I havent seen him play football.. not a minute.

But if a lot of PL clubs are watching him, its not only because of his numbers of goals. Lots of players at that level scored lots of goals without ever getting picked up by a PL team. If someone in the PL signs him, I think we could be pretty certain that they have seen more than just goals. A lot of these "new hype from L1/L2" players end up signing for Championship clubs rather than PL teams though.

Seriously he IS a snowflake if he cannot take criticism from a few keyboard warriors. I really like him as a person BTW. But on the money he was and is earning he needs to grow a pair, which he did...

Look, I appreciate it can seem baffling when blokes on tens of grand a week go a bit wobbley, but it is what it is. We aren't all John Wayne or Terry Butcher. Self confidence can be fragile. Vardy turned down a chance to go to Arsenal because he feels more comfortable as a big fish in a smaller pond. I suspect he pulled out of the England set up because of similar imperatives. In the end he's the winner and Leicester City are the winner, and this was thanks to good management - the opposite of telling him to stop being a 'snowflake'.

I have no idea what you do for a job, or if you have kids, but I teach and some of my students need careful handling from time to time. My job is to help them achieve the best they can, which includes helping them understand when they are struggling and how to cope and thrive. Digging them out rarely works.

Anyway, I rather dug you out over your first post so, sorry about that. Perhaps you might consider a different way of looking at these things?

You see this I agree with. But you and I do not know how ‘Psycho’ Pearson turned Jamie around. My best guess would be it wasn’t a comforting arm, some flowers, and a box of quality street.

I have two wonderful sons and was a teacher too BTW. Maybe this is why I do not teach anymore!? [emoji6]

Not in the squad today - ahead of a move?

I’ve just had a look on the Crawley Town Twitter account, replies to the news of Watters not starting, some Crawley fans saying injured, and a few Swansea fans saying he’s off to them.

Maybe saving him for the FA Cup against mighty Leeds. :)
