Not quite sure I agree - For what he has been convicted of, 8 years (he'll only do 4) seems pretty small if you ask me. I think our justice system needs to be stronger and yes 8 years I think is appropriate, but he should do all 8 years not be out in 4 for good behaviour.

He was sentenced on the law in place when he committed the offences, the maximum at the time being 2 years. Since (iirc) 2002 the maximum is 10 years and, as the judge said, at least one of the offfences would be classed as rape today.

I mean look at what he used to do for a living, would take the side of the highest bidder and discredit perfectly innocent folks so his clients could look good/escape trouble.
