Very rarely negative but I am sorry that is ridiculous. McNulty is on loan ffs. I have been a little quizzed about certain issues since I was at the forum and it seems I was right. We have no more cash to spend on players of any quality although we have 2 out on loan

why not?

he would only ever play if Painter got injured during a game so doesn't need to be fit enough for 90 minutes ever

What if Painter was out injured for a lengthy period of time with loan and transfer windows shut then? Although I still think he's worth looking at in the reserves

Isn't he a bit "rash" in the challenge? He'll fit right in with our disciplinary record.

as posted elsewhere - Kishishev plays international football as a left back and el Abd played his best games for us last season as an emergency left back for a protracted period so we have cover available.

Not ideal of course but adequate at this level. We are a league one side and can't expect to be able to keep top-notch cover for every position happy playing in the stiffs or sitting on the bench which is primarily why McNulty was moved on to Scunthorpe

I don't see the problem. He's getting a run out to see if he can provide cover. El Abd and Kish are needed elsewhere so until we get someone else in, it's handy to at leat know Taricco can do a job.

From the the Argus website:

Albion are short of cover at left-back for first choice Marcos Painter and Taricco, pictured, is still only 37.

He was playing part-time in Sardinia when Poyet appointed his former Tottenham team-mate as his No. 2 last November.

Reserve team chief Charlie Oatway told The Argus: “When you watch him in training, or he has to join in, he is certainly not out of his depth and we need a bit of cover there so who better?

Spanish trialist Diego Camacho, a potential defensive midfield replacement for long-term knee injury victim Alan Navarro, also plays at Culver Road tonight along with England under-17s captain Jake Caskey.

Poyet got a first proper look at 33-year-old Camacho, who has La Liga experience with Sporting Gijon, Valladolid and Levante, during training yesterday.

The Albion boss said: “He trained really well. He has got something interesting. We need to check a little bit more on his fitness. That is why he is playing tonight.”

Albion: Walker; Whing, Cook, Hall, Taricco; Battipiedi, Camacho, Caskey; Hart, Holroyd, Baz.

It doesn't sound like he's being played to see if he can do a job but more like he's being played because they don't want to put painter kishi or abd in a reserve game and he's they're only option. f***ing funny though.

dont too much of a problem. there are pros similar age playing in this and the league above. it would be silly to overlook his ability as potential for cover for the sake of not being match fit. but as above, probably more a case of making up the numbers for the reserves.

We need to spend the wages set aside for a left back on covering Navarro's loss so makes sense to use all our available resources
