We need Welbeck to be decent if we are to stay up

We are Brighton, we hardly score any goals.

His conversion rate doesn’t seem great, he is getting chances and should have scored again tonight. Really needs to find the back of the net again and soon. UTA.

Maupay scored 10 last season. That's the same as Welbeck has managed in his last FOUR Premier League seasons (70 appearances).

People on here are talking like Welbeck represents a great option to have.

I doubt it, unfortunately.

Post lockdown and begining of this season it's as if everyone has forgotten the absolute sitters he missed last season.

Feel similarly he's a very decent player but confidence throughout the team looks gone, second half was like watching a team scared to lose rather than a team trying to win. It's a shame because the talent is there, the manager is there but the confidence and experience was not. As far as options maybe start Connolly or Welbeck maybe even Alexis MacAllister as a false 9. We have plenty of forward options now. Maupay needs to be benched next game though for his and the teams benefit if he can come on late and make a difference that'd do his confidence wonders.

Also, we never win must win games.

Very expansive. Over a period of how long?

- Manure in the 1983 FA Cup final?
- Notts County in the 1991 Championship (old Division Two) play-off final?
- Hereford 1997 last day of season?
- Bristol City 2004 3rd division play-off final?
- Aston Villa 2017 Championship title?
- Man City 2019 FA Cup semi-final?

Can't replace a player of Dunky's quality. Would hate to have Tony Pulis grinding out results like pulling out teeth. We'll be ok.

Even when we were playing well in the first half, I thought it wasn’t working with a lone Maupay working amongst a gaggle of relaxed defenders.

It was crying out for the pace of Connolly to join Maupay, screwing the defenders game.

Why is it the manager can't see it. Think he brought McAlister on because he got teh point in last game rather than any sense of tactical play.

Neal took his offside goal well ... but he was ... well ... offside.

It says to me that it's not a problem between the ears though
