There was a communications breakdown, with about 4 needless corners given away. You could see words exchanged afterwards. Could’ve been costly.

Without knowing who was at fault, shirley to be worked on.

Overall, MR had a pretty good game.

Well as for at least 2 of them, Bissouma and March, I heard Maty scream for the ball (as did Effan Ekoku on co-coms) I think I can safely say the fault isn't with Maty.

I’ll give credit where it’s due. Today is the best performance I’ve seen from Matty in quite some time.

A few very good reflex stops, his passing was on point, but most importantly, he was confident and imposing when we were under the kosh.

I wonder if GP dropping him was a psychological ploy.

Thought he looked ropey again today. Poor communication with the defence where he should have been taking possession easily and didn’t. Several set pieces we looked panicky which I think his lack of ever coming for the ball causes risk.

Maty has done well but I think we need an upgrade.

Needs to come for more crosses / set pieces. I’m sure it was paper talks / agent shite but Martinez showed today why he’s highly rated. Having said that we’ve not spent silly money like Villa.

Ryan benefits when he's busy, which he was against Villa. He doesn't seem to shine when he only has a couple of saves to make. It wouldn't surprise me if the Albion are looking at Romero from Man Utd... allegedly available for £2.5m

I don't think there are many who disagree, the key question is when?

If we're still going to defend set pieces like an under 10's side I think any money spent on a new keeper seems somewhat wasteful.

Ohhhhhh Stat.

You definitely have a crush on Matty don't ya!

I thought it was a pretty average performance from Ryan yesterday. A couple of ok saves, nothing spectacular. Average distribution.

Would a better keeper saved their goal? Maybe.

A crush is considerably better than a desperate need to hate.

The vitriol spat forth from you now if Villa scores Solly's goal would be unrivaled.

Taller keeper would have saved it.
Not even in the corner.
The ball wasn't even hit hard.
Slow to move for the save
Never makes big saves.

I don't see you writing that about the keeper you wanted to spend £20,000,000 on a couple of months ago.

We all know it and that makes your opinions completely null and void when actually discussing Maty Ryan the keeper.

Their keeper is worth the money!! He had no chance with either goal. And I can assure you Matty boy wouldn't have saved the maupay one on one.

Such a shame we let krul go so easily.

That'll send a great message to Sanchez and Walton ......................
