Plus his Dunkin Donuts bill.We paid over the odds for Locadia....about £15 million over the odds to be fair.

I exposed him on Twitter the other day when I pointed out to him that Trossard had 18 months on his deal, not the 6 months he was stating as gospel.I’ve had the misfortune to hear Luke Edwards on Radio 5 Live a few times and he is an absolute f***ing idiot. Can’t believe the BBC give him air time. Rory Smith he is not.
I don't think we can be far away. As a benchmark, Mykolenko cost Everton £17 mill, 4 years younger. Both established Ukrainian internationals.Shakhtar Donetsk have rejected Brighton’slatest offer for centre-back Mykola Matviyenko.
The bid was understood to have been £16m plus bonuses.
Brighton remain interested in the player and are considering another bid.
Matviyenko is an important target for head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who managed him before at Shakhtar.

If we were signing a 15 goals a season striker we would have to part with a lot MORE than £20k.Doesnt make much sense this one. No idea how good he is, but Webster isnt bad and Van Hecke is coming through too, at 26 for over 20M is completely against the usual transfer policy?
If he was a likely 15 goal a season striker maybe, but for a defender?
Webster was £20m + and only a year younger. This guy has champions league experience too.Doesnt make much sense this one. No idea how good he is, but Webster isnt bad and Van Hecke is coming through too, at 26 for over 20M is completely against the usual transfer policy?

Who cares if it’s normal. The manager has made it clear he wants this player, the manager has publicly said, including today, he wants more players, just get it done.20k?
Is over 20m for a 26yo defender normal for us.....
Exactly. It worked so well for Chelsea and Tuchel, didn't it! Just think Aubameyang.................................. (or even Cucurella!)Presumably RDZ knew the deal when he joined. And ultimately the club will be careful about signing a ‘coaches’ player, especially for a record fee. What happens if RDZ leaves in the summer for whatever reason… sure if the deal will be done it will, but only if it’s right for everyone
The thing is though we have our bids in for him so it’s not like we don’t think he’s a good enough player. If, as has been reported, we are only a few million apart in valuation then surely we have to back RDZ and pay that little bit more.Exactly. It worked so well for Chelsea and Tuchel, didn't it! Didn’t we bid £11M and they want £25M-£30M ?The thing is though we have our bids in for him so it’s not like we don’t think he’s a good enough player. If, as has been reported, we are only a few million apart in valuation then surely we have to back RDZ and pay that little bit more.
Oh I quite agree - my caveat was just about buying 'a coach's player' on the coach's say-so. The fact we've made an offer suggests that as well as De Zerbi wanting him, our recruitment team has had a good look too, and also think he's worth bringing in.The thing is though we have our bids in for him so it’s not like we don’t think he’s a good enough player. It took us a very long time to get Cucu out of Spain. The thing is though we have our bids in for him so it’s not like we don’t think he’s a good enough player. If, as has been reported, we are only a few million apart in valuation then surely we have to back RDZ and pay that little bit more.
