It’s important to invest in succession plans early.

I see this as another Moises type buy. We know there’s a realistic chance Biss won’t be here forever, so if we find the right player available for the right price let’s bring him in now.

We may quite easily buy this lad and loan him straight out so he continues to play and not devalue as an asset.

Too right.

Every signing we make we should be viewing through the lens of how Tony Bloom thinks. And he's thinking 2 to 3 years ahead.

We need another keeper. Walton is off, Steele is barely Championship standard. I'd expect a senior pro type to compete with Bob, not a similarly young keeper.

Tricky. It's time for Rushworth and McGill to go out on loan for a season, methinks, with a view to one of them being ready to be a number two in 2022-23, or take over if Big Bob goes for a large amount of wonga. That leaves the cupboard a bit bare if Walton goes - perhaps he'll decide to stay another year? I don't see the point of paying £15M for a temporary reserve keeper - maybe we'll find another old pro who'll happily see out the last couple of years of his career get nicely paid for (mostly) sitting on the bench/joining in training sessions.

Should think he would be a safe enough choice as goalie and hopefully would save enough to keep his percentage high....

Gonna seem like a long close season, we have so many players who might be coveted by currently bigger and better clubs

Probably Potter's (and Ashworth´s) biggest success is how he has transformed the value of our squad. So many young players who are worth a fortune now, that probably wouldn't have got a look-in under Hughton. Even players like Burn and March are worth a lot more than previously. It has to be one of the main reasons Bloom hired him.

Can easily see Sanchez moving onwards and upwards earlydoors. Maybe that's the club's thinking also, and they're just doing a bit of forward planning for that contingency

Think we may be ok for this transfer window at least. Doing unbelievably well for us obviously, but still young in goalkeeping terms, and yet to play a full season for us.

Think that the big boys might hedge their bets for a bit yet before they start tabling big bids.
