To me, Richards was as instrumental as O'Callaghan in our good performances and improved passing.

I agree with that. We will miss them both badly.

He was a great find by Dean Wilkins (and his scouting team) - just a shame he did so well he could go off and demand Championship football again.

As i've allready posted the same happened with Whing last season when he played himself back into contention at coventry, come the transfer window DK bid something like £35k for him that was turned down ( i'm fully expecting him to do the same with Richards ) but Wilkins kept in touch with him and eventually got him on a free transfer.

It's amazing how opinions can be so polarised.

Before Christmas, an Ipswich fan was in the shop saying how much we can keep O'Callghan, and that it's a shame Richards had to go out on loan (what's the point of playing that f***ing useless Harding when he can't tackle, goes bombing forward but can't cross a ball? etc). Another fan was in half an hour ago saying Richards should never wear the Ipswich shirt again...
