If Paris Cowans Hall's wages were too much for our wage structure Fryatt is definately a no go.

I think it's fair to say that Cowan-Hall's wages were only too much when other targets are taken into account.

I don't think they would have been too much on their own but maybe the funds are tied up elsewhere.

Started, and missed a sitter against us on Sat. I sincerely doubt they really want to sell.
Won't be to us even if they did. I could see him going to a Forest or Derby if he is sold.

If you had any idea about the rivalry between those clubs then maybe you would have stopped yourself saying such a ridiculous thing.

But who is as prolifc in the chamionship as they were in league one?
Championship is a higher standard, therefore strikers won't score as many
Leon knight scored 10 in the championship for us and he certainly wasn't prolific:thumbsup:

This would be a good buy and certainly not impossible???

For some reason i can't see many championship clubs rushing to sign him which tells you a story.:drink:

I know all about the rivalry between the clubs, do you really think Fryatt would worry about that though?

Seems one of the more likely random rumours on here, not that that's saying much. About the level you'd expect. Think 1.5M is way too much for him and would have thought half that fee is far more realistic whoever was bidding. Clubs say what they want but unless dealing with Man City nearly never get even near that and settle for a negotiated fee. Look at us with Crofts or Plymouth with Barnes.... both clubs 'leak' figure for the undisclosed fee that are very different and who knows the real deal made!

Wage wise could he just get a bigger signing fee and more bonuses, to compensate for a lower wage that fits our structure a bit. Sure bending it, but not shattering the whole budget. Or else 3 years say each with a raise meaning less this year, more what he's after first :amex: season, and a little bonus for his last season (not that we'd have to keep him or could restructure)

No maybe not but don't you think Leicester would?
The club wouldn't, they'd be selling him for one reason, money, and the highest bidder would get him. The fans are a different matter, but do you think Milan Mandarić gives a toss about them?

I mentioned those two teams specifically because he's a midlands lad, his two previous teams have been in the midlands, he's unlikely to be good enough for the premier league and too good for league 1 so a championship team is his most likely destination and Forest had a large bid turned down whilst he was whacking the goals in for Walsall.

Its all guesswork but I didn't just pluck those names out of thin air like your posts suggest.

OK fair enough, it's clear you haven't plucked those teams out of the air, but that was how it came across.

I can't see Leicester selling him though. He's gone off the boil a little bit in the last 12 months or so but he's definitely a class act, and one of the better players they've got.

As for the price, Forest maybe, but can't see Derby being able to afford him.
