Maybe in his roller skates but definitely not in trainers.

Come on Matt, your countrymen’s integrity is in the spotlight, do the right thing. Phone up OPTA, Panini, The National Society For Footballers Weights And Heights etc and declare that you made a mistake and are really about 5 feet 9, come clean and do the right thing.

Distance yourself from Warner, Smith, Bancroft (and the rest of your national cricket team who CLEARLY knew that half of the ball was being worked on to try and resemble a scouring pad), You are a good goalkeeper (sure it would be preferable if you were 6 feet something for corners and crosses) who will be respected more if you admit today and end this blatant height tampering.

If he is putting sticky tape in the soles of his boots to increase his height as seems likely from your post, he can **** off out of our club and go back to Australia!

'Ball tampering' in football would probably mean coating the ball with iron based paint and the keeper with powerful magnets in his gloves. You'd need to watch out for an increase in foot and head injuries though.

I hear he used shoe boosters to try and ride the rollercoasters at Alton Towers a few years ago, kept them in since???

A little research suggests that his wiki USED to say he was 5'11". Think his agent has been editing.

Completely changing the subject from Ryan's lack of height.

But how f'ing good does it look seeing the club he plays for in a World Cup sticker book

Was trying to think of the last BHAFC player to appear in Panini’s finest. Fozzie in 82 but not sure he was in the sticker album. Gotsmanov perhaps. Meola?

Penney was included in 86.
Rami Shaaban played for Sweden in the 2006 WC after appearing for us in the season before. But alas he was second choice and only one keeper per team featured in the 06 album. Plus I think he’d been released by the time he appeared for Sweden v Trinidad
