Call me old fashioned but should the biggest asset for a goalkeeper not be shot stopping.

Your are not Pep Guardiola and I claim my 5 pounds (Premier League joke :) )

Wrong.
The most important asset for a keeper is agility. How quick your feet are and how much spring you have in your legs. Our game is full of 6' 6" giants who can barely get off the ground. Just from these few snippets you can tell that Ryan is a quicker mover than DS.

Smaller keepers also get down much quicker, whether they can the reach the extremities of the goal line once they do is another matter. They can also get lobbed easier. How do I know this? I used to be a small keeper

He is currently at Valencia. There are absolutely no doubts about his ability whatsoever. Whether this transfer is true is another matter.

Wow, he's grown one and a half inches in 12 minutes. He'd better get out of the house or he'll bang his head on the ceiling.

:lolol:

My figure came from the fountain of all knowledge that is Wikipedia - I haven't actually been round his house with a tape measure.

My figure came from a page called 'the shortest goalkeepers in football', there were a couple at 5 ft 8 ins on it as well, never heard of them but one played for PSG.

His hands had a 1.8ft circumference too. Gloves were made for him Papua New Guinea, the largest-handed people on Earth. Interestingly, the women's hands there are bigger than the men's. Personally, I wouldn't like to have a giant-handed partner. Speck of dust syndrome would be unnecessarily born.

Rubbish. Height is extremely important for a keeper. 6' is small and a concern

Hugo Lloris is only 6'1 too, is that a concern?
