According to Fabs tweet at 11.20 am fee of just over £15 million agreed and wbg flying out to Napoli mondayI think WBG is effectively a done deal and with O’Riley and Gruda we will have significantly upgraded in terms of ability to play forward.
Plus two other potential deals...............BBC Even reporting this
"Napoli director Giovanni Manna has returned to England to continue transfer talks for Brighton and Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour,"
The sadness at where Scottish football's big two are in the pecking order gives me the urge to taste Scott Tenorman's tears:
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, 'One must have a heart of stone to hear about the sad demise of the Old Firm without laughing.'
Tiny little Brighton 35 places above ECL round one regulars Celtic in Europe's Power Index: https://www.euroclubindex.com/?all-items=1

Yes, that's why I'm laughing. Not at Celtic particularly, but at the irrelevance of the league, dominated as it is by a decades long Banshees of Inisherin-like death struggle of two supposedly giant teams whose international relevance dimishes year after year after year. A plague on both their houses. They've sucked everything they could from the rest of their country's football and its been all for nothing. All of the wood has gone and just the big stone heads remain. They are just lamenting their current position in world foootball.
Blimey, why do you care that much? Their population is roughly the same as Denmark, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, Ireland, Norway. How many of those countries have dominant teams in Europe? They have one of Europe's great derbies, and the top two clubs have global fan bases that dwarf Albion's.Yes, that's why I'm laughing. I'm a Scot, don't support either of the big Scottish clubs, and have to admit - they're actually not very good. Having a massive fan base doesn't change that. Too many Celtic fans are living in the past (which was great).Blimey, why do you care that much? Their population is roughly the same as Denmark, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, Ireland, Norway. Didn’t Rangers only lose on penalties in the Europa League final a couple of seasons ago?Yes, that's why I'm laughing. I still don’t know why you feel so angry about this. A small country having only a small number of well known football clubs is very common. It doesn’t take much to dominate a league in a small country. Or a big country, come to that, if you look at France, Germany, Spain. And even England…Yet between them it feels (to me at least) that they’ve sucked all the oxygen out of their league, leaving none for anyone else.
It’s a two team competition, which is better than a one team competition (I’m aware that Man City have won 4 in a row) but it feels like other teams can challenge in our league. From 1998 and the formation of the Scottish Premier League it has always been Celtic or Rangers that won the title. Every other team is in a separate competition, or might as well be.

Probablywould this be his flight tomorrow leaving biggin hill at 1030 tomorrow and then coming back down
England is the anomaly. Yes, there are plenty of arseholes who just support a big club instead of their local club, but there are still a huge amount of people who do support their local team, meaning that a lot of people go to games all through the leagues. Scotland is a bit messed up, with a disproportionate amount of people only interested in supporting one of the big two, which ruins their league system.I still don’t know why you feel so angry about this.
