the dick head policy is a myth. Plenty of people on the outside think our players are DH's. When they leave we also turn them into DH's. a la Trossard, Cucu, Moises etc.
It might not be an actual written ‘policy’, but the essence of it is there in the assessment of potential recruits. It’s hardly unusual……been publicly spouted by (for example) Frank at Brentford, the All Blacks and (astonishingly perhaps) Man U

Yeah agreed, it's not a policy, but personality type, temperament and mentality simply has to be a consideration with new signings. By all accounts, Caicedo, Cucurella etc were pretty well liked whilst they were here too

Same for any employer. Best advice I ever had was from our former head of Private Banking when we about to launch a growth programme with lots of hiring - ‘get going, but remember it’s still better to have a hole in your team than an asshole in your team’

Presumably if this signing came off, it would be the end of Igor Julio or Adam Webster?
Don’t rule out Hummels playing in the CB/DCM role. His passing is good enough.

I think Julio’s passing game and value would make him the ideal candidate along with rumoured interest from Italy.

This has the feel of a modern day Owen and Kanchelskis to me
This was my BVB fans response when I said we were linked..

If we had to bin off one, I'd get shot of Igor and keep Webby personally.

Webster has had his difficult spells and lost form, but he's also been pretty decent in spells and was getting back to his best at the back end of last season and is a top bloke around the squad imho.

Igor is just too immobile and while he's had a couple of ok games, he doesn't offer enough and is nowhere near better than what we already have imho

I’ve said similar before and I’ll say it again, if Igor Julio from Brazil was actually Ian James from Wales with the exact same skillset/previous playing history, he’d be looked upon far less favourably than he is!
