Work colleague is home schooling his son and one maths question is below. Answers anyone

And "was... now" is a bit of sloppy phrasing.

No it's for a 11 year old so don't think it's attempting to trick anyone.

Badly worded question! They obviously wanted the answer 24 degrees, but should have specified the time, not 'now'.

Just be grateful it's not riddled with a whole series of "strewth", "cobba", "Shelia" and casual racism.

The answer given is 29. Now for the last hour a lot of work colleagues, Asahi UK, have looked at it and my daughter, a teacher and we believe not only is it a badly written question the answer is wrong, unless we are all missing something.

If it's a maths question the most logical answer is 24.
