There is no way any championship football match is worth more than £30 but supply and demand will always rule. It looks like the club has misjudged the price the demand is willing to pay. Be interesting to see what happens if we are top of the league though.

With the squad we've got at the moment, I can't see us doing much better than last season tbh. BUT, Mssrs. Poyet and Bloom like pulling rabbits from top hats, and I reckon there will prob be a couple of these in the not too distant future

Because hardly anybody has purchased a match day ticket for our first two games? Nor Chelsea either for that matter.
You do realise the first home game is a month away?
Christ people do not think that far ahead on a match by match basis...Jesus

Also the chelsea game is not appealing end of.

The first games of the season, with a newly expanded ground, and a sell out on season tickets is highly appealing as soon as tickets are on sale to anyone who is an Albion fan who isnt an STH. The Chelsea game would have appealed at half the price as it should have been, and if the wsu hadnt been turfed over, another poor call by the club.

If we are in contention even the £37 tickets will go once the cheaper tickets have been snaffled up.

Sorry sir, Albion Dan is right. There have been hardly ANY seats sold after the first half hour of them going on sale. Last year they sold out matches in 3 or 4 hours. There are the same matchday ticket seats available as last season but the demand is less as more have ST's and the price too high. We might only sell out 2 or 3 times this season. They have misjudged it.

Seriously misjudged it IMO.

And a friendly against the Europran Champions (where we only had 14,000 tickets to sell) isn't sold out with less than a fortnight to go.

Away fans WILL NOT be charged £39 (if they are I'll happily donate £39 to the REMF) and there WILL NOT be two different price brackets for away fans. Most clubs travelling away from home stand where they like in the away section, so charging two prices will certainly cause issues.

How much are away fans going to be charged next season?

This says 2 things to me. Firstly the matchday ticket prices in the East are vastly over priced. Who wants to pay £37+2 to sit next to away fans hurling gay abuse at you and you know they paid £3 less for their ticket!
Also that away fans WILL be behind the goal at the south end. What the hell was the point of moving them if they are still behind the goal? IMO they should have given them the E,SE and SW. Split them and they make less noise and leave the whole South for home supporters as Gus wanted.
I honestly think the club have been f*cking up since last season ended.

Are the away fan tickets not less because they are to one end of the stand? The £39 tickets in the East are because they are prime central halfway line tickets. South stand tickets are £28 aren't they?

Only 11,000 to sell, when you consider the 3,000 1901 members have a free ticket.

Is that right?

I thought they only got free tickets for Cup games.

If it is the case, it's even more of a cock up by the club. That would mean we have sold about 8,000 tickets for a match against Chelsea in over three weeks.

Anyone still think the club got it right on this one?

Correct. £28.00 plus £2.00 Booking fee. (Which is not payable if you buy in person)

The away fans will pay £34 or £28 , Insider's reply to my question on ATC clarifies that tickets sent to the away club as an initial allocation won't be all in the £34 East Stand section.
