I concur, i feel this was Dunk's error. He should have gone to Lacazette himself, or as the captain, communicated to Webster to pick him up.

I think the bigger problem here was the loss of concentration and organisation when Lacazette came on. Not the first time we’ve gone to sleep in recent games

Bissouma 8/10 MOM

Sussex but not by the sea
Sanchez 7 - we’ve found a very good keeper
Veltman 5 - not a RWB, not his fault but he was asked to play there, he’s not good enough going forward.
Webster 6 - ok game
Dunk 6 - ok game
Burn 5 - did ok but got too tight for their goal then didn’t take the yellow as he should have, for 6ft 7 he wins **** all in the air, a squad player at best
Bernardo 6 - decent first half, faded
Propper 6 - see Bernardo, useful option
Gross 3 - absolute waste of a shirt now, he KEEPS getting picked and KEEPS putting in these nothing performances and it’s going to get Potter the sack, everything slows down when the ball gets to him, for a set piece specialist his set pieces are shite
McArgie 5 - there’s a player in there but not in this league
Ali J 4 - enough now, enough. He’s not good enough, end of, finished. Get rid in January, right now. Tony you need to wipe your mouth on this one.
Bissouma 9 - world class, will leave and I won’t blame him, he’ll win trophies

Subs all 5, too little too late

Potter 2 - perhaps he was sending a message to the board that we need recruits, or perhaps he’s trying to be too clever, or perhaps he just isn’t good enough. Whatever his decisions tonight cost a shot at getting a result, we literally had no chance with that line up. Made even worse by the fact Arsenal were beatable. Something needs to change.

Sanchez - 7. The one bright note of the last few weeks.

Veltman - 5. Solid defensively, poor going forward.
Burn - 4. Now been played out of position for 1.5 seasons. He is not a LB (and definitely not a LWB), but that’s not his fault.
Dunk - 6. Did OK but shadow of his former self.
Webster - 7. Think he’s been good in recent weeks.

Bissouma - 8. Class above (again). Will be playing a higher level than us soon and will look even better with better players around him (and we’ll look much worse).
Gross - 4. Set piece delivery was woeful, and that’s pretty much all he’s in the side for. Definitely isn’t for his physicality or mobility. We miss (first half of season) Mooy who was a (slightly) more dynamic version.
Bernardo- 5. Don’t really get comments that he did well. Left Burn exposed and no quality in what he did in final third.
Mac Allister - 5. When he wasn’t being anonymous he was making wrong choices. Looks like he needs a run of games to get up to speed, which he isn’t getting.
Propper - 5. Neat and surprisingly up to speed given lack of game time, but one of the beacons of our issues - failure to really threaten, and too slow/too many touches in final third.
Ali J - 4. Are we sure there isn’t an £18M winger held captive in Iran while we’ve been sent someone powerful’s nephew instead?

Subs - no impact
Potter - I’m hoping picking no strikers was a cry for help.

Sanchez - 6 Couple of good saves and comes out for crosses well. Some poor distribution although sometime put under ridiculous pressure by constant passes back by "playing it out from the back"
Veltman - 6 - Too slow to replace Lamptey. A really good player but as is often Potter's style played out of position.
Burn - 5 - Too slow to be a PL wingback. Again,as is often Potter's style played out of position. Does well going forwards but never seems likely to score from a corner.
Dunk - 6 - Played ok but where is his leadership? Seems to be below last season and the season before's level.
Webster - 6 Generally good distribution and looking positive going forwards. Like other defenders, seemed to stand off Lacazette for the goal.
Bissouma - 7.5 One of the few to really improve under GP. Very good reading of the game. Some great interceptions and has learned to tackle without giving away loads of free kicks. We will struggle to keep him and if we try, can see him getting unsettled and sulky.
Propper - 6 - Not as good as Lallana in the role and seemed to vanish at times. Weak shots.
Bernardo - 4 - .I know! We will play a CB at LWB and a LB as a Midfielder. Poor crossing and cannot beat his man so goes backwards. I really liked him under CH but has got worse under GP time to move on I think.

Gross - 4 - Only realised he was playing when we had a corner. Very poor.
Jahanbaksh - 5 - Missed a good chance. Too short to play as a central striker when the plan is to faff around in our half with 20 passes back or sideways then back to Sanchez under pressure to thump it long.
MacAllister - 4- Ran around a lot.... So much hype about him with so little end product. Does he need a run of games?
If so, needs to leave as apart from defence NOBODY gets a run of games under GP.

Maupay - 4 Needs someone to play off and bringing him on so late was pointless.
March - 4 - Should have come on at 50 minutes as we were crying out for someone to push them back on our left.
Trossard -3 -Total waste bringing him on. Should have been earlier and another player.

GP 3 Bizarre selection. Total lack of reaction at Arsenal's 2nd half changes. (Or is it clueless) As always subs too late and probably going to learn from it and move on.

Back in Sussex
Sanchez - 7- Did well one very good save nice to a keeper kick the ball upfield

Webster - 7- the defence as a whole did well and if only our forwards had taken any of their chances
Dunk - 7- as above
Burn - 6- run himself into the ground
Veltman - 6- as above

Bissouma - 8 - MOM looked best player on the pitch I hope we can afford to hang onto him
Propper - 6-.long time out his inclusion alongside Bissouma was a positive for me
Bernardo - 5- also long time out he worked hard with little result

Gross - 5- best of the front three but that's not saying much
Ali J - 4- and I am a fan of Ali J but he was poor
Mac Allister - 4- also poor

The defence as a whole did well????

Apart from Burn being skinned by Saka and giving Lacazette the freedom of Brighton to score, I assume you mean....

6 foot 7 centre backs aren't generally noted for their ability to keep up with 5 foot 7 wingers in a 40 yard foot race though. He shouldn't be asked to play that far up the pitch. If you'd have said "failed to hack down Saka on the half way line like a player from the other 19 PL teams would have done in that situation" i'd have agreed

Yes obviously we are never going to stop any team we play against from having some chances Burn was wrong footed Saka was a stride ahead which did not increase And Lacazette did have a lot of space but his finish was unstoppable, it's not defence that's at fault it's the forwards not scoring where the problem lies.
Not having a target man means we have rely on trying to walk the ball into the net and we have been found out
