McPhee Starts Against Bluebirds
Albion boss Mark McGhee has handed Chris McPhee his first start of the season for tonight's clash with Cardiff at Ninian Park.
It is McPhee's first start since the 1-0 win at Rotherham at the tail-end of last season. The 22-year-old replaces Jake Robinson in attack.
Elsewhere McGhee has plumped for the more experienced Jason Dodd in the right-back berth, and so Adam El-Abd must make do with a place on the bench.
Paul McShane returns to the heart of the defence after serving a one-match ban at the weekend.
For the home side dangerman Cameron Jerome returns after suspension, replacing Michael Ricketts, who has picked up an ankle in training.
In midfield Paul Perry comes in for Neil Ardley, who drops to the bench.
Jeff Whitley, who was struggling with a groin injury, has come through a late injury test.
Albion: (4-4-2) Blayney; Dodd, McShane, Butters, Reid; Carole, Oatway, Hammond, Frutos; Knight, McPhee. Subs: Chaigneau (GK), Nicolas, El-Abd, Kazim-Richards, Robinson.
Cardiff: (4-4-2) Alexander; Weston, Loovens, Purse, Barker;Parry, Ledley, Whitley, Koumas; Lee, Jerome. Subs: Margetson (GK), Cox, Ardley, Boland, Mulryne.
Referee: Lee Mason.

BarrelofFun said:McPhee will be hungry. He has played well for us before and I am sure he will be out to prove his doubters wrong. At least, lets hope so.
