Thought it was great clapping them around the pitch at HT.

You could tell that they really enjoyed it as well.

All in All a perfect (so far) day.

Marvellous. I don’t like cricket enough to go and spend time at Hove, but what they have done is a great achievement, and I was more than happy to applaud them and they certainly got the reception they deserve (barring the gravy lovers).

In the shadow of Seaford Head
It was great to see the greatest team Sussex has ever produced welcomed by Albion Fans. Sussex winning the County Championship is the highest sporting achievement ever in the county. It could only be bettered by the Albion winning the Premiership. Thursday at the county ground will always be a special day in my memory along with Albion winning promotion to the old Division 1 at Newcastle and the first Cup Final.
Thanks again to Italia/Trigger/ Lord Bracknell for keeping Sussex CC alive on NSC.
Have to pop off to Canada to see brother (trip delayed until cricket season over) but expect the Seagulls to be at least second in table when I return in 3 weeks.
Up the Albion
Sussex by the sea for ever

Funny to see the cricketers trying to continue their lap of honour past the visiting Wendys, only for some jobsworth stewards to block them off in case it antagonised the 700 or so Yorkshire folk.

Even stranger that if an opposing player scores and runs the length of the home fans cupping his ear or generally winding up the crowd, they do....precisely nothing.

Great work, stewards...

its cricket no-one cares:yawn:

We cared on Saturday you muppett!
I think that 1.43 on Thursday was my best sporting moment ever, better even up than the final whistle at Highbury in 83, seeing the Albion walk out at Wembley on three occassions, Stuart Storer's goal, seeing england win at Sydney, seeing Sussex win the Gillette Cup in 78 and the Natwest trophy in 86

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Champions giving it large at Withdean

Great stuff!
