The way he was almost begging Hurzeler to agree with him on the second yellow card was genuinely pathetic.

We've all said it repeatedly, yes, it's frustrating to be sent off for it but any top player worth their salt doesn't commit a trivial yellow card offence whilst already on a yellow. I remember a player getting a 2nd yellow for taking his shirt off in celebration of a goal, walking and then having the goal chalked off for a marginal VAR offside. Complain all you want, but it's pretty black and white and players know the consequences.

He’s an utter plum, in my humble opinion. As I’ve said before, I have no idea how he gets a gig as a pundit because he’s neither insightful nor articulate. Therefore, adds f*** all.

Character-wise, I’ve found him very unappealing since a) he literally jumped all over Van Nistelrooy after he missed that pen at the height of the Arse/ManUre rivalry and b) when, at the Islington Town hall parade to celebrate “The invincibles” season, he took the microphone and started singing “there’s only one, Keown” which is suggestive of a highly narcissistic personality.

Still in Brighton
. White and Jordan are just taking the piss out of him constantly and he’s not even aware. Absolute tool.
This is why I love having him as a pundit on tv. Other pundits know he talks absolute garbage and take the piss ...and he just looks literally like a startled, stupid cow:moo:He never gets it/realises they're taking the piss. It's very enjoyable.

Pretty telling that most of his ex team mates clearly don’t think much of him when they interact with him on screen or on air.

He’s not insightful, talks in a single tone and clearly has no self awareness or sense of humour.

Heard an exchange between him and Ray Parlour on TS the other week, fair enough Parlour is somewhat of an extreme but it felt really frosty

How he commands a fee is beyond me

He's even got one of those aging men's hair do, trying to hang onto his thatch with gel that secreates from his utter bile that is punditry.

Searched for threads with Keown in the title and had quite a choice, none of them complimentary, which just about sums him up. Settled on this one as apparently I’d started it when some bullshit he’d previously come out with had obviously pissed me off.

Anyway, he’s back on form this morning on talkSport. Still banging on about the Rice red card, he’s almost in tears. Embarassment of a man. White and Jordan are just taking the piss out of him constantly and he’s not even aware. Absolute tool.

He’s very sensitive, he takes Arsenal so seriously.

As their title challenge slowly unravelled in spring 2023 and this year, his co-presenters were able to wind him up like a kipper.

He’s the straight man, in a comedy duo.

Full disclosure ... I loved that Old Trafford scuffle.

He just doesn't know it
This!

He has absolutely no clue how much they’re taking the piss out of him, he’s totally oblivious. It’s almost bullying and taking advantage of the vulnerable as White and Jordan are clearly on another level to him intelligence wise.

I’d feel sorry for him if he wasn’t such a weapon.

A positive Albion story about Keown. Circa 20 years ago I read a piece by him about us in a national paper. He mentioned fond memories of his loan spell with us when he was a young player, and his disgust for Henry Hughton’s assault on Gerry Ryan. He spoke angrily about it, that it deserved reprisal on the day. Interesting that it left its mark on MK all those years later, when he’d later seen it all.
