I think Allen deserves a chance. He's arrogant enough to make it at a higher level. Good luck to him
Gets a lot of publicity but he failed at MK Dons. Don't think he's as astute as Micky or Steve Cotterill - two managers with similar backgrounds. Doubt whether he'll do much in the championship.

What? A manager who got three different teams promoted to Championship level and managed other teams at that level?
I know people wanted rid of McGhee last year but he isn't a bad manager overall.
I can't understand why people still think it is 'funny' to knock him.

What's odd about that is that it's quite often the same people who support proven failure Leon Knight.

As far as Allen is concerned I think Leicester have taken a bigger risk with him than they did with Micky Adams and Peter Taylor, at least they had won something.

To date Allen has taken two clubs to the play-offs and given who else is out there I can see him picking up his P45 before the end of the year.

I reckon he will get found out at Leicester as well.

As someone else said above he should really have got the Dons promoted this season with the players he had, especially the attackers he had.

He's a reasonably manager, and seems like an alright bloke, but having seen the dons play a fair bit this season i really really dont like his tactics and style of play. There was a lot of unimaginative long-ball shizzle which might just be ok in league 2 but definatly not in the championship.

His first move is to sign Alex Revell. Already made his approach I'm told.

he is not good enough for that level
