Most Bees fans are chuffed to bits for what he did first time around and making fans feel wanted by the club. He is f***ing crazy though with some of his antics!

Top bloke.
Met him at a brentford supporters club pub quiz a few years back, on his first day in the job there.
He said something along the lines of 'fans can call me mad dog, because they paid to get in. Players call me sir'.

Good luck to the man.

Might be a nice bloke, but as far as football management is concerned, he is a BUFFOON

having had the pleasure of watching some of antics from the terrace stationed directly behind the dugout at whaddon road when he was in charge of cheltenham, i can confirm that he was worth paying the entrance fee alone. even if he did totally ruin the side and nearly bankrupt the club

not to mention some of his activities in the pubs and clubs around town

It was quite bizarre seeing his antics at Withdean a few years back when he was still at Cheltenham. It was 90 mins of showing off to us in the South Stand and trying to make us laugh. Spent most of the game sucking up to us rather than managing his team.

Did that include a particular moment when a large amount of the south stand were complaining that Wilkins had everyone back for a corner? Dean duly obliged and withdrew Robinson and Cheltenham scored. Allen then applauded 'us' for our managerial expertise.

I seem to remember he spent much of the game circling round the dugout and trying to make us laugh, as you say.

I seem to remember him giving the ref a one fingered salutes from behind the dug out. He seemed to enjoy entertaining us!

Worth a follow @mad_dogmartin
