I was in that square myself only a few weeks ago for the rugby. Are you at Monsieur Albert?View attachment 167550
Not quite in Marseille yet but can't beat a nice cold beer in the sun, sitting in a bustling square in Nice.
Yes I am, really nice little square just off the promenade.I was in that square myself only a few weeks ago for the rugby. Are you at Monsieur Albert?
Not a chav in sight, why does Europe always look so much nicer than home....Yes I am, really nice little square just off the promenade.View attachment 167555View attachment 167556
You seem to be ignoring the giant yellow Donkey Kong luzzing barrels at all and sundry. Not a chav in sight, why does Europe always look so much nicer than home....
I've already seen the ambulances come and haul off a dozen tourists for barrel related injuries. You seem to be ignoring the giant yellow Donkey Kong luzzing barrels at all and sundry.

Lots of beautiful places here and on the continent, lots of not so beautiful places here and on the continent. As for chavs, they're everywhere - especially somewhere like Marseille which is much more well known for violence than pretty.much anywhere in the UK ffs!! But theyre not likely to be seen in the most touristy parts obviously. If you ever lived in France you'd realise that there are a lot of so-called chavsNot a chav in sight, why does Europe always look so much nicer than home....

Yeah I've had a bit of a stroll around this morning and it's a lovely city.Nice is nice ! Property city but relatively relaxed .
I know, I know, but it is nice sitting in a foreign country having a coffee or a beer, watching the world pass by, not having to worry about work etc.Lots of beautiful places here and on the continent, lots of not so beautiful places here and on the continent. Well that shuttle trip was dead easy, helped take a lot of stress off the trip to the station! Exactly as everyone described. Thanks@Wallace : a ovo postaje prilicno zanimljivo...
L91 runs in 25-30 mins from airport to St-Charles, and is easily the best value to get there. 10€ one way (discounts for groups or return tickets) , quai 6, running every 15 minutes and you can't possibly miss it.
Like I stated earlier there are absolutely no reasons this match should be classified high risk. It was a surprise it was. When we played sensitive matchs in the years before ultras were already a bit of a problem (more on La Plaine/ Cours Ju than on the Vieux Port) on tuesday if the match was scheduled on a Thursday. Today ... nothing, nada, zilch. I don't expect anything tomorrow neither, but maybe safer not to wear colours, one never knows. On the other hand it's still late summer here and there's no buzz in the air. We had like a major crisis some fortnight ago, we have a new coach, and we're in very deep trouble. We're way better enjoying the nice weather huh...
They definitely do those nice squares better than we do, with cafes and bars where people just enjoy watching the world go by.Not a chav in sight, why does Europe always look so much nicer than home....
safe trip, hope you avoid a damn good rogering by the Ryanair bag sizer!Ah, on the 13:00 to Marseille here
Wasn't just me noticing that in the south of France then ……I know, I know, but it is nice sitting in a foreign country having a coffee or a beer, watching the world pass by, not having to worry about work etc.
beautiful women seem to walk past, well dressed, in those moments you just enjoy life.
You must take into account I am in Lancing at the moment watching over weight mums pushing pushchairs, with their saggy boobs whilst looking at the phone in one hand while the other hand crams crisps into their fat cake hole.
That they do.They definitely do those nice squares better than we do, with cafes and bars where people just enjoy watching the world go by.
AgreedI know we have some, like the old market squares, but not in the same way or volume France or Germany has them with a cafe culture.
That, or like New Road near the pavilion that has been gentrified, with nice flag paving and benches....If they are no longer used for markets, they tend to be glorified car parks.
