Why a mistake?Arriving in Marseille Wednesday morning and leaving Friday evening and feels like it might have been a mistake to book those times in hindsight!
Just reading these comments about Marseille! Nice might have been nicer and just train in and out.Why a mistake?
Keep you wits about you, like you would in any other major city, and Im sure you'll be fine. I’ve been before and spent 3-4 days there, no problem at all. I’m planning 4 days this time. Biggest issue I will most likely face is the choice of restaurantsJust reading these comments about Marseille! Nice might have been nicer and just train in and out.

That will go down with their fans they wanted him outTrouble at mill...
L'Equipe reporting that manager Marcelino is departing the club.
Given he is playing in Tokyo 16 hours later unlikely I'd say. This DJ the club have mentioned in La Joliette on the day of the game, its Norman Cook isn’t it.
Listened to the official podcast this morning with NC, was talk about him going to the Europa away games. Mentioned he knew people in Athens, so might do something there in an old cafe or the like. Mentioned Ajax, doing something over there, nightclub after the game and the home game for the BHA / Ajax fans, bit of a love in, but didn’t mentioned anything about Marseille, not whether he could make it or not.
Found this rather odd, being the Brightons first ever European away day and he didn’t comment on it, so I’ve done the math and it’s him.
Hasn’t said anything as he wants it just to be a BHA love in as part of the forthcoming documentary and doesn’t want a shit load of locals turning up to spoil the party.
Thought he said that was for the home game, no?Given he is playing in Tokyo 16 hours later unlikely I'd say.
He's playing a club in Tokyo on 06.10.2023Thought he said that was for the home game, no?
In that case ignore the shite that I wrote. He's playing a club in Tokyo on 06.10.2023
Ok, lots of supposition in there but the actual travel advice from the club says:You can suggest what you like, however given that France is currently hosting the RWC I seriously doubt its officials/police will be actively demanding sight of passports from Tourists in the street (whether in Marseille or not). Why would they do it, to check you have it, then what if you don’t? Arrest……..and then before you know it you’re the Count of Monte Cristo? Fantasy stuff.
Maybe, for the first time when collecting an away ticket the club will refuse to release it unless they see the physical evidence of my ID. I doubt that too, given the amount of data on my phone over and above photos of ID (e.g. proof of flights, hotel, season ticket, photos of games, the email cache).
In a perverse way I hope you are right because I would love to that conversation with an official in a foreign country where I needed a passport to get there. That would be great sport, sadly for me in that context I think you're wrong (again).
Don't worry , you will love it , two days in the most diverse city in France , just wish I was going too .Arriving in Marseille Wednesday morning and leaving Friday evening and feels like it might have been a mistake to book those times in hindsight!
Unfortunately the most diverse city is also one of the most dangerous.Don't worry , you will love it , two days in the most diverse city in France , just wish I was going too .
Sadly due to other commitments and unfortunate health issues will have to make do with the coverage on TNT sports but will be there in spirit Here's hoping that we can bring home all 3 points . Up the Albion
