I know that's more realistic than £60m, but why sell him for little more than his significantly less experienced replacement if it's Minteh. Obviously I understand the Minteh money is amortized over a few years whereas Simon would bring about £25m odd straight on to the books for this year which probably answers my own question, but still....Agree £30-£35m plus add-ins for me, rising to £40m.
He’s 22. He WILL make lots of improvement- if our coaching staff are any good. But he can’t defend, this is so important in the PL, unless you’re Messi or equivalent, you have to work in both directions.
Adingra has lots of room for improvement in this respect.
This is a fairly simple one
Marseille pay north of 30 million and we'd obviously sell him. They won't.
Unless he has peaked as some players do at different ages….He’s 22. He WILL make lots of improvement- if our coaching staff are any good.
And it is a fair point, none of us know the clubs ‘book’ price, but I think what you and I have quoted feels realistic.I know that's more realistic than £60m, but why sell him for little more than his significantly less experienced replacement if it's Minteh. It's a bloody long way.I note that there are no offers to drive him there yourselves. Could this mean he isn't as bad as some are suggesting or an unexpected side effect of Brexit?
This. For a club that primarily signs and improves youngsters I’m not getting the happy to sell. He’s 22 played only one PL season did well scored six in play goals, if we take Pedro’s pens away he’s not that far behind considering he went to AFCON.
Surely that’s a great base for him to improve this season. The last thing we want to do is burn out the new 19 year olds.
That's true, although I find staring wingers terrifying, like something out of Dr Who!This.
There are still plenty of minutes available for all of our wingers next season.
It would be nice to bring on replacements for our staring wingers at 65mins, rather than play them into the ground.
That would be absolutely terrible business. 22 years old, first season in the premier league, AFCON young player of the tournament, can play on either side.Agree £30-£35m plus add-ins for me, rising to £40m.
Often our only decent player in those shitfest performances when RDZ was in strop mode too.For a club that primarily signs and improves youngsters I’m not getting the happy to sell. If Fulham were in the market for him, I suspect it would look like a taxi rank outside his house.
I agree, defensively March is twice the player Adingra is. It could be that our new coach has been told we need to offload a winger and has picked the one least likely to fit in to the new defensive plans. It could be that a Marseille fan page is flying a kite based purely on RDZ being his old coach. Or, frankly, anywhere in between.Unless he has peaked as some players do at different ages….
Coaching at this level can help to a certain extent but you need football intellect as well, to understand coaching requests, natural ability can get you so far.
Defensively, he needs to get better and it’s not a small improvement either.
Bloody quick decision if so, Fab OUT!I agree, defensively March is twice the player Adingra is. So, it’s just possible he might have watched a video or two of us before pre season.Bloody quick decision if so, Fab OUT!
Then he’d know he was probably our best player in the run in?So, it’s just possible he might have watched a video or two of us before pre season.

Yes, I reckon it would take about £30M on the table before we started any talks. We've done a fair bit of incoming business already this window, and inevitably refreshing the squad will involve some players leaving - just depends on what TB and the recruitment people think makes good business sense. This is a fairly simple one
