I'm currently working for Bougyues, the French company building that stadium, and it came up on our intranet recently - a feckin' exciting project and an amazing piece of engineering!!
Unfortunately I'm building 33 flats in Brighton that is 6 months behind and losing £1m on a £3.8m project!!! 😠

What a shame it is in Marseille but otherwise awesome

But those with shitty falling down ramshackle grounds will label it 'soulless''

Must just be me but my gut reaction is that I don't like that design at all...no doubt it would be imposing though and is definitely unique, but doesn't look "nice" to me

We already covered this. It doesn't look "nice" because its Marseilles.
Cannes you believe we're even doing this deja vu thing all over again?
Zut alors!

I hate the thread title, it's lazy. It could say that looks like a symmetrical Amex stadium.
