Been there since time began, remember it fondly from my childhood, went to Hove village beach yesterday, and wondered past. Had to go in - its IMMENSE

Pretty ladies serving, 30 flavours to chose from, 6 varietys of cones.

So a monster double scoop of cookies and cream and mint choc chip

It scored particularly badly (no stars) as part of the Councils 'scores on the doors' scheme, but I have never suffered any ill effects. My latest effort were some mussels and I am still here to tell the tale.

Cracking little place and certifiably another institution of Brighton and Hove.

I went there the other week when the County Ground outfield was too damp for cricket. Haven't been since I used to get taken there after the usual Sunday morning pilgrimage to the slides at the King Alfred.

The ice cream is the BEST I've had outside Italy. Or Scotland.

i wouldn't say he was odd, rather a little old. lovely old fella has made buckets of cash from that business and has property in france and spain as well as italy.
