CRAWLEY TOWN BOLSTER SQUAD FOR LEAGUE OPENER

Crawley Town Manager Francis Vines has acted quickly to strengthen his injury-ravaged squad ahead of Saturday’s league opener versus Merthyr Tydfil at the Broadfield Stadium.


With Joff Vansittart and Warren Bagnall still unavailable for selection, Vines has looked to the South Coast for cover and has brought in Brighton & Hove Albion duo, 22-year-old Daniel Marney, and 20-year-old Carl Wilson- Dennis on an initial months loan.

Vines explained “ It is essential that we get off to a good start and there is no way we could have gone into the season with just two forwards. Daniel (Marney) can also play wide left, and gives us options until Justin Gregory is declared fit to play.”

Seems odd with Wilson-Dennis. It seems SC has made up his mind that he ain't gonna make it with us so is loaning him out to save on the wage bill.
