Are we close to seeing O’Mahony involved more with the first team? Few bench appearances to cover Welbeck? Seems to score in every u21 game he plays.
I thought the same when Welbeck went off. The answer is currently not yet. The fixtures really pile up in December, and Julio has indicated that he's on course for a December return. So my hunch is if we don't see him before Julio's return, and we don't have further injury issues up-front, we won't see him this season.

would be nice. however we saw with connolly how a bucketload of goals at youth level doesn’t necessarily translate to goals at first team level, although there were obviously other issues ongoing there

Having watched him tonight for only 45 mins I’m gonna stick my neck out and say in a few years he’ll be playing first team football with us…

I originally made a post similar to this in the November Albion International thread (which, it has to be said, is a fantastic thread in its own right ;) ) but it is worth updating it:

Mark O'Mahony has played in 22 matches so far this season for club and country (19 starts and 3 sub appearances) and has scored 16 goals. He has scored in 12 of those 22 matches.

I saw him Vs Nottingham Forest and he looked very similar to Ferguson, however last night first half his game play resembled more of a young Rooney. Either way, a talent

Can hold the ball up really well and knows how to score, he’s going to be pretty good in time.
