Currently without a club after having his contract terminated on 5th July.

Yes, he's 34 too, but back in April 2019 Juventus were happy to extend his contract to 2021 before Sarri came in and sidelined the player, prompting his move to the Qatari side Al-Duhail.

9 goals in 25 matches in Serie A in 2018/19 is interesting. 6 foot 3, retired from Croatia side in 2018 so won't have to be travelling either.

The bloke has played in a World Cup Final, won the Champions League, multiple winner of the Bundesliga and Serie A and is still 3 years younger than Glenn Murray. He is a proven winner.

If his salary is not ridiculous then def yes , even if he only comes on as a sub for a few mins in games , his experience and football knowledge alone which he could pass onto the other players would make him worth it .

Def yes from me . There is no substitute for real top class quality even if he is past his best .

**** me, doesn't really fit in with the usual mould of signings in the Potter era but would be brilliant.

These things don’t happen to us, but could you imagine.

Actually being able to cross from free kicks and corners, knowing there’s a tall fella who can score with his head. Ooh the option.

Loving all the threads. Haven't the club said they are happy with business and made it clear we are going to go with what we've got. Are you bedwetters going to carry on for another few weeks still thinking there's a striker coming in?
