When the physio came bach to the pitch he gave the Brighton fans a thumbs up, so hopefully its nothing more than the split lip.

Have heard from a mate at the game that was close to the stretcher when he went off and they said he was ok. May be a bit of mild
concussion. Fingers crossed.

Just read this on the official site - concussion seems a good reason for the stretcher, but why the neck brace???

Aye, if there's even the smallest chance of a spinal injury, a neck brace is used. It's better to have it on and not need it than to realise that it was needed later down the line when the injury's ten times worse.

Landed heavily on his back I think

He got the split lip from the challenge but I got the impression that he hit his head when he went backwards and knocked himself out. The back board and neck brace would have been precautionary for someone who was unconscious even for just a little while.

was at the game and he went down very bizzarely, pretty sure he got a face full of elbow and he went stiff as a plank and fell straight backwards. im pretty sure he was knocked out, especially after the way greer reacted when he went down. but when the physio came back out the tunnell he gave the thumbs up and nodded saying hes ok

Brilliant news if that's all it is.

He'll be keen to play though on the weekend as he sounded well proud of being the only Albion player to have played every minute of the seaosn in an interview on the BBC.

I was behind the goal and thought he got karate kicked in the face. I might be wrong of course, their player didn't even get booked.

Was definitely kicked in the face - hence the cut lip. The really nasty thing was that he fell straight backwards and landed on his back and head simultaneously. Thought he might have damaged his back or neck at the time. Do not think there was any intention from the Brentford player - jusy dangerous play, hence no booking.
