Looking at the fixtures, we have EIGHT games in the next month, and (without wishing to tempt fate) they all look winnable.

Despite yesterday's glitch, Jan & Feb were very good for us - we were 4 points clear of 3rd place on 1st Jan (with no games in hand)....we are now 6 points clear with two games in hand.

I still think SCC are our main challengers - I'm amazed that Bournemouth are still up there.

More importantly, 4 very winnable home games. Carlisle, Tranmere, Notts County, Swindon.

Couldn't agree more - no need to panic over one disappointing performance yesterday. I'm confident we'll win at Yeovil and at home to Carlisle next week. As long as when we do lose the odd game we don't get stuffed and this hasn't happened this season (not withstanding the cup game last week) so confidence should remain high as well as our goal difference. Plus - we may still have to play the Scummers and Huddersfield towards the end of the season but they are both home matches and this has to be in our favour with our current home record.

Well, let's hope so! Chickens....hatched.....count......don't, etc, though. I think Huddersfield are the main threat, but the longer they stay there, the harder it gets to disregard Bournemouth.

As you say, all winnable. Carlisle have an amazing away record though and the S Times suggest a draw for next week. The shiver down my back is very slight, but it's there nevertheless.

Its still seems hard to take Bournemouth seriously. No idea why, their stats are right up there. But you just KNOW that at some point soon they'll fade and die. SCC still have a mountain to climb. They have to hit form at the same time as we hit a serious dip in form, and every time we win and they draw, makes it that bit tougher for them.

That Huddersfield match is looking like a BIGGIE.

As posted on another thread of similar name I am becoming concerned about our reluctance to have a shot and to continually try to walk the ball in the net. Also yesteday we had the chance to hoof the ball away into row z but didnt and conceeded a goal. Much as I appreciate the manner in which Gus is getting us to play and defend there are occassions when an old fashioned hoof are required and yesterday was one.

One game to go....can we make it a clean sweep?

Very winnable, but we just about scraped through in all 4!

seven narrow wins on the bounce and I don't think we have played particularly well in more than patches in any of them. BUT we have an amazing resiliance and a self belief that has carried us through and although I now think the summer overhaul will have to be more substantial and Gus will have to expand his coaching team to bring in experience to vary the way we play, his skills as a man manager cannot be doubted by anyone.

Kish suggested in an interview at the start of March that we could win every game. Great shout from Jim in the West. I don't think anyone really believed it other than in our dreams but here we are

Dag & Red could be tough. Their current form is pretty good. 11 points out of 18 apparently. Mind you, we'll have one hell of a support, which does seem to give us a spring in our step on the road.

It's a bit like a marathon runner who, with the finish almost in sight, suddenly puts in a four minute mile and completely kills off the opposition. :)

and to think just a couple of months ago bournemouth could have gone ahead of us, their game was postponed, and now they are as close (not quite) to the relegation zone as they are to us!
