I have a friend who works for Chelsea, and has to go to Cobham once or twice a week. He says the atmosphere there is not great, with the men’s first team squad kept in complete isolation from everything else. No inclusivity, and the whole place feels quite unwelcoming. perhaps not a work environment to everyones liking??

I’m trying to think of when he actually played as a left back for us? He generally played as a LCB or LWB

Pervis has nailed the RDZ’s LB role but we do need a back-up, would Cucu be up to it? Is he actually any good at LB in a back 4?

Really? I think most of us are enjoying him floundering. People are rightly picking up that when he was here he often whined at the fans as a distraction technique for when he felt under pressure when things on the pitch were not so great. Of course he is doing nothing of the sort at Chelsea. He has double standards and is being called out on that.

Can't see much hate, just enjoyment at his self-inflicted predicament.

I remember Cucurella saying how hard he and his family found it the settle in England when he first arrived and how much the Albion helped and supported him and his family. The whole managing and supporting the player as a person and not just an athlete has been spoken about at length by PB and is yet another important part of TB's plan.

I suspect he has now found that not all clubs offer those sort of levels of support, unfortunately too late. It would certainly help to explain his demeanor

I honestly didn't think he was a good as folk thought. Never said it in here as I would have need a tin helmet. £60m made him one of the most expensive transfers for his position. Ludicrous really. Bloom is a monster.

This was a proven by a few dodgy performances at the Albion, early in his spell, when he lacked that versatility to mould into the team around him. At the Albion he was also reassured he had one of the strongest, most stable defensive machines in the PL to back him up…

I have no idea what Potter has done to him, but he just isn't the same player as tghe one who left us back in the summer.

He seems to have far more license to wander now, and can frequently be seen playing in the opponents half and unable to get back and defend when required. He always seemed to play with a smile on his face when he wore the stripes, far less so now.

As you say, sad to see a very good player look so out of place.

The demands and pressure on him are a lot more now. Not all players can make the step up. Maybe this will come with time but this is something you don’t get at Chelsea.

I don't see much hate at all. I think we got pretty lucky with how things turned out and I'm more than happy to revel in that. I felt quite sad watching Cucu struggle last night and maybe some of that is how much we put into looking after our players. in terms of Potter. I remain deeply disappointed in his actions but I certainly feel no hatred

I don't think there's much 'hate'. I look at Potter like I look at Hughton, they were great managers at the time, what we needed and with hindsight, very limited.

It's a bit like student digs, a great room, lots of fun, fantastic to get away from home at the time but when you've expanded to a Mrs and a couple of rug rats, it's not suitable any more and in hindsight a bit of a dump.

I think he was that good. Obviously it's not working out for him at Chelsea yet. Perhaps he's not as settled and happy there, and that can make a big difference.

I don't hate him.

I understand that he left for cash.

He did a good job here but his thin skinned reactions to the fans weren't great.

And his timing of leaving and the poaching of bhafc staff were poor.
