Harland looks like a Bond villain's bad boy. The one who finally dies in the last shoot out

He (Haaland) doesn’t look that interested to me, powerful but off the pace and clearly his new wallet is weighing him down.

He haa land indeed.

Think he might have a slow first season but in a year or two I think he'll score 30+ league goals for City.

I don’t even think the much talked about figure of £50m is enough, add £2m for every insulting offer or attempt at unsettling the player.

It’s disgusting the tactics bigger teams use to try and vulture talent from ‘lesser’ teams, it’s the same old story every transfer, insulting low offer to unsettle player, other team declines then the story about them ‘moving on to other targets’ comes out and in goes the transfer request from the player being led by filthy mudblood agents.
This. So, so pleased Tony has called them out and told them to foxtrot oscar.

A paragraph from The Times report of today's game;

With Henderson pushing on from midfield, augmenting Liverpool’s high press, the FA Cup winners went for the champions. They particularly targeted City’s left flank where João Cancelo was at full back, labouring to keep pace with Mohamed Salah. Brighton & Hove Albion officials tuning in must have been tempted to increase the fee they want from City for Marc Cucurella, their coveted left back. With Cancelo struggling, Salah took a sweeping pass from Thiago Alcântara and laid the ball inside to Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose clipped ball towards the far post deserved more than Robertson’s header wide.

We can manage without him, bar an injury and suspension crisis as per last season...

After today I'm now of the opinion bank it Tony, f1ck him off if he's not up for it with us. One good season doesn't make a summer, or an Albion legend.

So the update is: nothing has changed since the start of the summer? Wake me up when something happens, this is becoming tiresome and boring.

:lolol:

You are new here and have never done close season as an Albion fan before. Angst, meltdowns, entitlement, a desperate cry for a LB, a PL ready striker and relief when the window closes are all part of being an Albion fan

I am hoping the LB requirement doesn’t raise it’s head again this season

If only Ben's Grandad was still with us to dispense his wisdom on the matter...:(

Apologies I’m a day late in seeing this, but it’s lovely to read.

Did Romano post our definitive side of this story at all?

No, strangely he did not.
Despite it being reported by a respected journalist, who he previously acknowledged, for referencing his breaking of the transfer request story, he chose to ignore it.
You would have thought professional courtesy might kick in, but apparently not.

He did unpin his tweet about Cucu handing in his transfer request though.

for our first PL home game Citeh turned up with two full backs in squad that had just cost more combined that it cost to build the Amex

with inflation and all that since then I would say 50m is quite a generous price
