I wouldn't be surprised if much of the media speculation about possible Chelsea move etc are Bloom instigated to get City to up the bid... Being the poker player he is with many connections - a shrewd bugger is Mr Bloom!

The Telegraph and Sky Sports are reporting that contracts have been exchanged between the Albion and Chelsea, whilst Cucu is fine with the move.

i cant believe he is that arsed - dont think he is bothered about selling this year unless its attractive enough.

Too right.

We don’t want to sell. We don’t need to sell. If anyone really wants him, they’ll have to pay whatever we think is right.

I feel really sad as how easily Marc’s head was turned. He was my favourite player.

Sorry, this is nonsense.

Football is a game of degrees or levels. CH knew it and Potter knows it well.

Cucurella will be perfectly happy with us if a transfer isn't agreed because he's playing on a much better contract than his Getafe one, for the ninth best team in the best league in the world, and the Spanish nationals will be keeping a very close eye on him and Sanchez.

But say to him "would you like to double your money and win trophies every year?" and he's obviously going to say yes to that. Who wouldn't? I would.

But City have to pay market price to buy off a 4 year contract and get a very specialist player we probably can't replace. That's the issue. Nothing more or less.

But was it his head that was turned or his agent’s? So if he stays at Brighton and plays as well, if not better, than last season will he still be your favourite player or are you going to condemn him for being a traitorous upstart for daring to further his career elsewhere?

I might be miss remembering this? But was there not some thing going on with Calderon and Southampton and Gus saying he will never play for us again? That turned out alright in the end. Maybe this will all blow over.

Most likely will leave for Chelsea, City or some other team that can’t be arsed to find their own talent and buy some else because they’re loaded.

Weren't we assured that Cucurella wanted to move to Citeh because of the Guardiola/Barcelona connection? I'm not aware that Thomas Tuchel was ever at the Camp Nou. It's almost as if you can't believe anything you read in the papers.

Looks like he’s effectively gone which is fine - doubtful we can replace him before the season gets going - interesting to see if we try.
His particular skill set drove our playing style/set-up, especially towards the end of last season. Most likely we will simply revert to a less fluid formation.

Colwiîl if part of the deal is a good player.although it’s disappointing he may block opportunities for Clarke & Van Hecke in particular.
Still if he’s better than them………….

Apparently we turned down a player plus cash deal. Seems like we want cold hard cash on this one.

If he doesn’t go to City, doesn’t mean it wasn’t true ? Surely you can appreciate a graduate from La Masia would want to play for Pep ?

Sad that it looks like he'll end up at that ghastly club with a petulant twerp of a manager (will probably be sacked soon) and an owner who waves his cheque book round like a dick in a brothel. Oh and not forgetting their classy fans.

You were great but you'll miss what you had here Marc (also hope we have someone lined up to replace). Not sure Chelsea are the club you should be joining...

I wonder if Marc Cucurella is embarrassed and bewildered by the horsetrading going on at the moment.

See post # (insert your best attempt at being ITK).
