I genuinely haven't looked at bluemoon throughout this saga.

But it's funny now to look at the change of tone pre and post the Chelsea news.
https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/marc-cucurella.355308/page-934

Which includes random stuff such as:
- Bloom's lying, Chelsea haven't bid.
- Bloom's greedy, Cucurella only cost us £15m in August 2021, it's outrageous that he wants £50m.
- A fair amount of bedwetting that Chelsea may well pip them, with LB their Achilles heel.

There was a debate yesterday about whether Bloom or Citeh "have all the power" here, many claimed they did. What a difference 24 hours makes.

My neighbour has just told me (I know, it sounds a bit BG) that Newcastle are in for him as well.

That'd make it interesting.

No chance he’d go to Newcastle. Side ways move atm. He wants CL football.

Guardian saying Chelsea close to 50m deal too.
Reading this thread I get the impression fans here are happy, but I'm not happy at the thought of him going for £50m. He's better than Ben White IMO and we also had more options in central defence.

I don't know about £50m - all the references I've seen, from Andy Naylor and others, have said that Brighton want £50m+ for him. That could mean anything from £51m to £59m. I also imagine that the price has gone up as the saga has drawn on. I bet we'll never know the exact price but I'd be shocked if it were under £55m

I wouldn't say I was happy about it but I do find it bloody funny!

Well, I’ve abandoned my faint hope that Cucu would still be with us this season, but given the nonsense that Man City put us all through, I’m taking an almost indecent amount of pleasure in the idea that he ends up elsewhere. Man City were taking the absolute piss with their valuation.

I have to trust in our recruitment team now to find someone to fill the void.

BREAKING NEWS.

My top Yorkshire sauce, Killer Whale, has just told me, that Leeds have put in a bid of 15 million for Cucu.

He has agreed personal terms, saying “ We’re all Leeds aren’t we?”

The deal is expected to be completed tomorrow.

Oh well, at least he’s going to a BIG club now.

Newcastle are upping their bid to £50m for very good, but ubiquitous, midfielder Harvey Barnes.

Exactly. The only statements we have officially made have said he is rarer that Ben White and that it would take £50M+ before we would consider it.

Sadly I think he is now gone as I would have liked one more season and I don't believe we would have got any less after a second season, but it is what it is. It'll be the right deal for the Albion and having a laugh at City's expense is just a little bit of a bonus

Unless I've missed the sarcasm (quite possible), you're assuming that what Rom da Bomb is fact – rather than part of the narrative to try and get MC to, er, MCFC.

If he is definitely going to go (for the right price) or has his heart set on a move, then Chelsea (or even, quite possibly, Newcastle) SWOOPING in to pinch him from under Pep's nose would be HILARIOUS to me :lolol:
It was sarcasm.

Its got better, Brighton have now made the signings of all left backs a minimum of £50m, that is going ruin these transfers now.
We (city) have come out of this looking good because we wont bow donw to little clubs trying to fleece us.
Cucu is not good enough any way, he was only going to be on the bench.

Chelsea bid not real, its Brighton trying to het us back to negotiate because they are left with an unhappy player.

One poster even said, Cucu will be a city player by the end of the week because Brighton will come down on the fee.
And last of all, Chelsea cant afford him as they will breach FFP.

I saw that they accused Bloom of trying to set a world record £50m fee for a fullback.

I thought Citeh (alone) were specialists in already breaking those records.

I'm not happy but it is what it is and seems inevitable at this stage so no point getting overly concerned by something out of our control. I also trust TB to get a good deal for the club.
Ben White had a premium for being English I guess.
