Great, great footballer, iffy bloke.
The greatest footballer of all time. Genuinely upset by his death.
He did make a valid point about English fans complaining about the hand of God goal. ' England won a World Cup due to a goal that shouldn't have been given' In reference to the decisive 3rd goal in the final. To be fair I don't think that goal was over the line either.
For me, all Englands hard luck stories was of our own doing, no one curses Steve Hodge for kicking the ball backwards in his own box and it's usually those poor decisions or poor discipline that cost us. You make your own luck.
That aside Maradonna's individual goal was good enough to win any match and 86 Mexico was all about Maradonna, not gonna argue history should be different
That always annoys me. England won 4-2, not 3-2.

Yes...
But that last goal would not have been scored if it had been 2-2 at the time. There is no way that West Germany would have been so light at the back in the last minute of extra time.
RIP to one of the true greats. I saw him play live just the once, for Napoli at Bologna in an Italian Cup game. Both sets of fans were singing his name and he scored twice as Naploi won 4-2. He was absolutely superb, it was an unforgettable experience.
Judging by the scream touching Solly March's shinpad induces, in the modern era he'd never get off the ground.
Flawed genius, cant say I’ll miss the fella but good luck to him*
Good luck to him ? He’s dead ffs.

ThisI'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.
