MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • Manchester United have lost their past three league games against Brighton - including last season's corresponding fixture, which was Erik ten Hag's first match in charge.
  • That victory for the Seagulls was their first at Old Trafford on their 14th visit.
  • The Red Devils have scored just once in their four previous clashes with Brighton in all competitions, and that was an own goal by Alexis Mac Allister in this fixture last year.
Man Utd
  • Manchester United have gone 31 games - spanning more than a year - without defeat at Old Trafford, winning 27 and drawing four in all competitions.
  • Their last home loss was by 1-0 against Real Sociedad in the Europa League on 8 September 2022.
  • The Red Devils are seeking their ninth consecutive league win at Old Trafford, which would be their longest run since a 12-match streak in 2012-13.
  • Erik ten Hag's side could concede multiple goals in four successive league fixtures for the first time since 1979.
  • Bruno Fernandes has scored four and set up two of the past eight goals scored by United against Brighton.
Albion
  • Brighton are seeking successive Premier League away wins for the first time since a run of three between November and January last season.
  • The Seagulls could equal a club record of scoring in 16 successive away league matches, first set in League One between August 2009 and February 2010.
  • In their previous outing, Evan Ferguson became the fourth player to score a Premier League hat-trick before his 19th birthday, emulating Chris Bart-Williams, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.
  • Pascal Gross has scored six Premier League goals against Manchester United, including both in the 2-1 win at Old Trafford last season.

At the end of my tether
I’m glad Antony won’t play.... I don’t like him...
Match day at last . We used to fear Man U and hope for perhaps nil nil. Nowadays we walk out tall and proud knowing that we are on a level. Although today will not be as easy as the last time when they were in disarray. Ten Haag has steadied the ship ,got rid of the wasters and they are better. I would be pleased with an away point.:albion2:
