I, for one, think it is admirable they are reducing their carbon foot print by using the cut-offs from Newcastle and Notts County kits to make their third kit. It is great that a company as globally visible as Man Utd are taking recycling seriously.

Its the club that has the final say on the design. Design approval is part of the process. Changing from Nike will not change the strip if the club decides it doesn't feel like stripes next season.
For what its worth, I didn't like the kit on reveal but having seen it on pitch now I've changed my mind.
