I went with a group of lads in February, again for a stag do. My best advice is forward plan - the best man had planned nothing, having bragged to everyone that he had loads planned for the weekend. Consequently it turned out to be a little bit rubbish.

If you fancy a night of general pubbery and clubbing than the printworks isn't bad, Tiger Tiger is a fairly good club with lots of talent (on the Friday night anyway, we went back Saturday and there was no talent) and there is an *ahem* Gentlemans' club nearby that did a special deal involving the groom being utterly humiliated and lacerated by his own belt.

As for daytime activities, I can't really help, due to the aforementioned best man's lack of planning.

try going for a drink or two in the northern quarter en route to the printworks and other suggestions above

it's the trendy bit... it's ok.

alternatively go to canal street to one of the straight friendly pubs down there (research which first) if you fancy a laff. i guess for a bunch of guys from brighton though canal street as a quirky place to go isn't particularly original...

all these places are close to picadilly station though so you shouldn't get too lost.

Really? I really like Manchester, great city, day and night. But yea, the best stag do's have a bit of planning involved, so make sure that gets sorted! Decent casino down the bottom of Deansgate too

Canal Street is very lively at weekends and tolerant of everything, lots of casinos if you want to lose your money, Chinatown is open until late if you want to eat after getting wasted, or alternatively go to Rusholme and the curry mile. Places such as The Birdcage are a bit naff but cater for stag parties, loads of burlesque and drag queens to keep you entertained. Sankeys in the Northern Quarter is always busy but good music.

If you want a guaranteed shag with an unfussy older woman you can't go wrong with Bredbury Hall, (just ask bushy to confirm), but it is quite a way out of town.

Go to Manchester airport and get a flight to Prague and have the stag-do there.
