Are trains running from Piccadilly to the MUFC Football Ground on Saturday ?

Or are they cancelled due to a Northern Rail strike

Just had a quick check on the tram site map and it appears you can go from Piccadilly to Old Trafford. Sorry!

When we did the return journey last season the tram we were on took a different route via St.Peter’s Square and Market Street not Piccadilly. That’s the locals for you, followed their advice!

Yeah coming back the tram might not be going to Piccadilly so if it doesn't your are right you need to get off and walk the short distance from Market Street to Piccadilly

The trams are very busy and obviously raucous so be aware of that. Perhaps a trip to the excellent Imperial War Museum North (also at MC) would add some light-hearted relief before the live massacre at OT?

No need for that, I understand that United have improved recently !

It's very well organised/patrolled - from memory the queue went very quick and was about 15 minutes

Booked on the 5.55 back, should be enough time to buy some provisions for the journey home. Might have to leave on the final whistle.

I travel over from Birmingham for match tomorrow. Don't know what it's like in Manchester but it is actually snowing here in Birmingham at the moment. Haven't checked forecast for tomorrow yet. Just in case that affects people who maybe planned to walk it to the ground
